Definition of problem :
	Prestoil has two offices in France, one in Paris, the second in the provinces. To achieve productivity gains, the teams at both the offices would like to be linked by a network, which would facilitate document interchange, among other things.

Solution proposed & rolled out:
	To ensure security and confidentiality in data and service interchange, MetaCorp proposed rolling out a VPN (Virtual Private Network) linking the two sites. A VPN consists in using the Internet as a transmission medium using a tunneling protocol enabling secure transfer of data from one end of the VPN to the other by means of encryption algorithms. The pre-requisites for this roll-out were : Installing an xDSL type Internet connection on both sites. Installing routers (in each network node) supporting the VPN functionalities. The roll-out of the solution was completed in two half-days (simultaneously on both sites) and the network was operational immediately.
